A Trip to KoOrG

It was the first time in 3yrs that i with my family went on a vacation and yes it was a very memorable one....Koorg(or kodagu) is arnd 250Km from Bangalore....my uncle aunt and couzin flew in to bangalore from tvm and we rented out a Tavera which first took us to gumbaz where tippu's relatives and brave generals were burried. on the way we stopped at a highway restaurant which served us small yet tasty masala dosas and kesari mmmm...tasty it still makes my mouth water. At gumbaz we got a glimpse of classic islamic architecture..... an hour at gumbaz and we were off to our next destination The Tibetan monastry in Bylakuppe, kushal nagar which is on the way to kodagu valley.... The Golden Temple is sure to make ur jaw drop down in awe....just c the pics yaar you feel that u are suddenly in tibet...you have Three gigantic idols covered with gold and pillars with golden dragons around them...man its "HUGEEE!!!"...The wall paintings are so good it will make u ponder whether its computer generated...from there its around an hour journey to koorg and we were starving already....Once we were in the resort we were all so damn hungry that we didn't even check-in at the reception and we flew into the restaurant and started gulping down whatever we could lay our hands on......after lunch we took a much needed rest....Then we were again on the road to abbey Falls...it was not so awe inspiring as the temple but still it was nice to see but on the way we got to see breath-taking sights of the valley...after some shopping we were again back in the resort having dinner....the next day morning we were out on the road again back to bangalore... i know we haven't enjoyed even 1% of wat u could have in Koorg but for me the road trip was a great experience and i am looking forward to revisiting Koorg but with bigger and better plans
